Sauteed Prawns with Garlic and White Wine


  • 2 lbs shrimps
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3 shallots, peeled and chopped
  • ⅜ Tsp red pepper flakes, crushed
  • 6 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
  • ¾ Tsp salt
  • ⅜ Tsp black pepper, freshly ground
  • ⅛ cup dry white wine
  • 3 Tbsp fresh Italian parsley, chopped


Heat oil in a large, nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add shallots and red pepper flakes and sauté for 1 minute. Add garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds. Place prawns in skillet and season with salt and pepper. Saute until just pink, about 3 minutes. Add wine and parsley to pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute to concentrate flavors. Serve immediately.
